Focus on the Family
  • The God of All Comfort, 3
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Host: Dr. James Dobson When tragedy strikes, we often wonder, "Why? Why did this have to happen?" We may not get an answer, but as today's guest explains, that's where faith comes in. We must trust that God is sovereign and that His good purposes are being accomplished, even in the most difficult situations. On the conclusion of this three-part program, Steven Curtis Chapman continues to describe how his family is dealing with the recent death of his daughter Maria Sue, and offers encouragement to other parents who have lost a child. The popular recording artist performs a stirring rendition of "Cinderella" - a song he wrote for all three of his daughters, but now has added meaning for Chapman as he looks forward to seeing Maria again in heaven someday.

Jesus Christ is Lord

Our Mission Objective

Our main objective is to build a powerful church with vibrant worship and dynamic ministry; a fellowship in which the individual believer develops a life of closer union and INTIMACY WITH GOD.

FOUNDATIONAL

The Church of God subscribes to the following five foundational Christian doctrines:
  1. The inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible.
  2. The virgin birth and complete deity of Christ.
  3. The atoning sacrifice of Christ's death for the sins of the world.
  4. The literal resurrection of the body.
  5. Christ's second coming in bodily form to earth.

Also, we have a new daily devotional from Charles Spurgeon.

Verse of The Day

  • Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.
